Duty desk Worker
Fixed Term Contract until end of August - Ryde
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Duty Desk Worker to join us initially under a Fixed Term Contract, with a planned review to extend the post undertaken in September.
This is a key role where you will be responsible for the welfare and safety of Foyer residents and guests, providing front line support to residents both in and out of main operational hours (the team of Duty Desk Workers provide cover in 5 shifts between 8.00am and 6.00pm over a 7 day week)
You will act as the first point of contact for residents, staff and visitors to ensure their welfare and safety in and around the building.
In addition, you will carry out general duties such as building and security checks, act as a fire Marshall, and respond to, assess and report any building repairs, ensure keys, residents and guests are logged /registered following procedures.
You will play a key role as part of the Foyer team, encouraging and supporting residents and delivering excellent customer service and admin duties to support the Foyer.
To be successful, you will have a general understanding of how to support vulnerable people ideally within a relevant environment. Demonstrate strong IT literacy and have the ability to deal with private and confidential information in line with procedures, whilst dealing sensitively with difficult issues. Experience of working with young people is desirable.
This role is subject to completing an Enhanced DBS disclosure check.
